About this house rental
Located in Lake Austin, this charming house for $595 per night is a great option for your next trip. This comfortable retreat in the hills just west of downtown Austin is the ideal location for a family or a group of friends to explore all that Central Texas has to offer: downtown Austin, the hill country, shopping, outdoor recreation, fine restaurants, as well as special events such as UT Football games, Formula 1, Austin City Limits, SXSW and countless others. For those looking for a quiet and safe retreat, our home is extremely private on a dead-end street off a dead-end street in the Westlake Highlands area of Central Austin. No through traffic means quiet nights with only the sound of night birds and the rustle of the trees. Even though it feels like you are in the country, you are a short 10 minute drive through beautiful hilly quiet roads to downtown Austin, 15 minutes to UT, 30 minutes to F1, 5 minutes to ACL, 10 minutes to SXSW venues and less than 5 minutes to dining & shopping. The house is 3400 square feet on a wooded half acre. The base rate is for 6 persons, but can sleep up to 10 people in 4 king beds and 1 queen bed. Children or people who don’t mind a fold out couch can double-up on a queen sofa bed in the master bedroom, increasing the occupancy to 12. We can also make up a couch in the study to increase occupancy to 13 and a queen floor mattress in the upstairs master suite to fit 15 total. The main floor features the master bedroom with a King bed and an en-suite bathroom with a tub and shower and double vanities. The room also has a couch that folds out into a queen bed. The second bedroom has a queen bed and is next to a half-bath. The main floor also features a great room, a large kitchen with a bar that seats 6 and that opens up to the family room, a dining area that seats 8 and a laundry room with supplies. The outdoor deck wraps around the main floor and features outdoor living and dining areas. The second floor features a Jack and Jill suite with each bedroom featuring a king bed. The fifth bedroom has a king bed and its own bathroom. The base rate is for six people, after six, the rate goes up by $75 per person per night. Need some flexibility on check-in and/or check-out? Check with us for availability and rates. Outdoor cat on premises has access to the laundry room and garage. If you would like the cat to be removed, we can board him for $50 per night.

I stayed here for my graduation weekend and the house is beautiful. It looks just like the pictures. The host communicated efficiently and it was relatively close to downtown. The weather didn’t lend itself to use the patio as much but it was beautiful. One note I would give to future guests is to be careful driving at night. The neighborhood doesn’t have any streetlights and the roads are winding and hilly.

The entire experience with Anita was amazing from communication before the trip, the check in process and the house was perfect for a group of 8 for my Bachelorette party! Could not recommend any more!!

The family left a cat locked up in the laundry room, with a cat door so it could get outside and a food and water feeder. This was not mentioned in the write-up and we did not have a choice about keeping it. It was no trouble but this may be an issue for others.

Loved the property, beautiful home with plenty of beds and bathrooms. Anita was super responsive and really nice. Had a great stay, and would recommend her properties to anyone. Only negative is cell phone service is limited, but wifi was great.

Christmas in Austin
We enjoyed staying here - felt at home during the visit. The house was clean, well set up, and added touches like a decorated Christmas tree and lighting made us feel at home. There was food in the fridge, coffee and a well stocked mini-bar. The beds were comfortable, and the neighborhood quiet. Hosted family for Christmas lunch, and there was plenty of seating and cooking items. Anita was very responsive when I had questions. Checkout was easy. Great place to stay!

Upscale house in secluded area, close to lake and downtown. Plenty of room and large patio with beautiful views throughout house. We had four couples on our group and we all loved the house and had a great time!

Bachelorette party
Anita was extremely responsive and very helpful from beginning to end. The town of Westlake is beautiful and serene, but is much hillier and further out than anticipated. Make sure you call for an Uber at least 10-15 minutes before you need to leave. The check in and check out process was seamless. The home is stunning and very well maintained. There was plenty of space for 13 girls and sound didn't carry, so others who went to sleep early were never disturbed. The beds were super comfortable and the atmosphere cozy and homely. The main critique is that we were not informed that the owners have pets. Though the pets were not there, a few of the girls had allergic reactions and had to take medication. Aside from that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this home for large groups!

Overall good experience, especially for large groups where the owner added blow up mattresses to accommodate. Location is about 30 minutes from downtown, so not an easy Uber but not difficult to get picked up.

Great Westlake Retreat
We thoroughly enjoyed the house. Three families stayed for a long weekend, and the house was perfect for all ages. We loved the treehouse feeling and all the living spaces inside and out. Felt right at home.

Beautiful home tucked into the gorgeous Austin hills
The home for our group of 11 fit perfectly! Beautiful design with an incredible great room and these two story large windows try made the outdoor space feel like an extension of the home. Anita was wonderful to work with, quick responses and the home was stocked with all the essentials! We created some of the best memories with the help of this beautiful home this weekend! Thank you!

Perfect for a getaway to Austin!
4 couples shared this beautiful home very comfortably. The home had plenty of room to spread out both inside and outside. We absolutely loved the serenity of the outdoor space. The kitchen was perfectly equipped for cooking and dining. We would definitely book this home again in the future!

Awesome property
Great property to stay at while visiting Austin. Stayed with a group of 12 that attended the UT football game, house had more than enough room for everyone and was very clean and in a safe and convenient location.
Anita was great in communicating and was a great host, if ever in Austin would stay at this property agian

Great place for groups
We used Anita's house for my bachelorette party and it was great for 9 people. Lots of space and in a beautiful neighborhood. Not far from downtown and easily accessed by Uber and Lyft.

Nothing but great things to say about the owner and the property. Anita was very accommodating and easy to get in touch with throughout the entire process. Ubers were always around & only a quick ride to downtown. Austin is a great town!

Beautiful, spacious home for large groups & great location
Anita was a wonderful host - extremely accommodating and very responsive both before and during our stay. Although we had a large group (15 women), we all slept comfortably on beds and air mattresses (which were set up upon arrival). The home is in a fantastic location - easy to find, very accessible for Ubers, and close to everything in Austin. There was plenty of parking as well. She had everything we needed for cooking group meals and spending time together. Such a beautiful space with a lovely deck and outdoor seating. Highly recommend this home!
