A gorgeous private property in the heart of Matera - an ancestral home with exceptional accommodations - only 3 rooms, all large and beautifully appointed.

Our room has a stunning view. The rooms, and especially the bathroom were very spacious. The property has interesting furniture. For example there was an old baby rocking bassinet in the bathroom, you could use to place your toiletries. The host was charming, warm, helpful and very welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed this property and would return if given the chance.
The bathroom has a slight sulphuric smell in the morning, something that shouldn’t be totally unexpected given how old the building is. It cleared up quickly once we opened the doors to the balcony in the bathroom.

The location
It was not nicely decorated
Instead of a grass that never grew, they should put white gravel. And throw away old plant pot and plant new normal flowers.
