The room was as described online but the views were even better, The patio out front was perfect for a bottle of wine while looking at the view. The breakfast was plentiful and many choices.

Located in the heart of Sassi, allows you to spend a night in a cave.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A truly unique Matera experience We had a wonderful two-night stay at Residence San Pietro Barisano during our visit to Matera. Staying right in the heart of the historic Sassi made the experience even more special. The room was beautiful, comfortable and full of character, with the incredible stone and cave-style architecture that makes Matera so unique. Walking outside and immediately finding ourselves surrounded by the ancient streets, stone houses and breathtaking views of the Sassi was something we will never forget. The location was perfect for exploring Matera on foot, and after a full day of walking those hills and steps, it was wonderful to return to such a peaceful and atmospheric place. Our only regret is that two nights went by much too quickly! Matera was one of the highlights of our trip through southern Italy, and staying at San Pietro Barisano made it even more memorable.

There were some little bugs that bothered me a little.
