LUME Boutique Hotel, Autograph Collection

Excellent setup and decor , tastefully decorated hotel and rooms . Excellent breakfast and generous choices , nice choice of free mini bar and coffee in the room

The nearby area is not the best location

Beautiful hotel, quiet and charming.

Nothing

Bedding and bed was amazingly comfortable. Great pillows. Nice large shower with rain head shower. At first disappointed was put in basement level but then it was so quiet and I totally enjoyed it. Location close to train station but red-light district is 2 blocks away. Need to be aware homeless and drug addicts sleep in fountain area very close to hotel. Be vigilant if walking at night. Interestingly lots of families and kiss in area even though kinda scary. Just be aware. Very pretty building and very moody and beautiful design. Felt luxurious.

Neighborhood is iffy at night. Be smart. Call an Uber if walking alone but know lots of people around just weird early in morning with folks shooting up right on street very close to hotel. I wouldn't do early morning runs alone. But there are tons of ethnic restaurants all around you. Grocery store/corner market very close. Pizza close by as well as lots of ethnic food. But drug addicts are all over too. Very urban.

The room was excellent and the reception staff brilliant in all respects. They couldn’t be faulted.

The associated restaurant is over priced and the manager rude and condescending when we attended for dinner. He made a fuss when we asked for tap water saying they had nothing to serve it in at the table (clearly he had not heard of a jug?). We declined to pay for champagne and were then left for 5 minutes without menus or wine list and so we left. Appalling treatment. The location was very handy for the station, but leaving the hotel at night did not feel that safe if exiting to the left onto the pedestrian area around a disused fountain next to the hotel. By the morning this area was littered with rubbish left overnight by those who congregated / slept there overnight.
