The room was spacious and of a high quality and the building us full if interesting features. Great restuarant and very helpful staff

Parking can be difficult and there is little parking in the immediate area but the owners do their best

Location good, meal from restaurant below room excellent. Good amenities nearby.

Blinds in room didnt work so had to close by hand. No plug in sink. Need bottled water for making coffee in room but none there. Hearth too big and several times stubbed toe on it. An optional cooked breakfast would be good.

I really wanted a good English breakfast but it was continental. There was plenty of choice and self service so it was ok. There was no interaction from the staff so the service was poor. The location was perfect for what we needed.

The carpets in the staircase and landing were very dirty and the doors in our room were strangely decorated. It looks like they have refurbished the room but forgot about the doors. The bathroom one wouldn't close . There were bulbs out and the huge chandelier didn't light at all. We were in the huntingdon room. The bed was very comfortable but in October l could have done with a thicker duvet .

The room was fine, with a firmish bed and the bathroom was good with decent shower. Efficeint check-in and a good deal in the restaurant wiht the special deal for starter/main/glass of wine.

There was not much space and aging furnishings. No power supply near head of bed, old TV without HD and not smart, all looks dated. Worst feature was corridor carpet with thick. engrained dirt. Very unappealing.
