Hotel des Balances

Perfect location. Great staff. Very comfortable room. Lovely view. Zero complaints.

It’s expensive but on par with Lucerne.

Location is perfect, the staff went above and beyond every day, food is excellent and our suite was clean, beautiful with amazing terrace and views!

Nothing

It faces the lake, though most hotels do

There was no water in the room and when we asked for , they charged us 7 CHF for an open bottle. In addition , they gave us the option to upgrade for an additional 45 CHF, i paid it , but when i went to the room on the 5th floor , the pillars were so high that u can’t see anything except if u’re above 2 m height. When we went to the hotel restaurant to have dinner , many tables were available but because we were 2 people they didn’t let us sit on the edge facing the lake but a bit far . As she said all tables were reserved !! Anyway we had dinner outside the hotel.

The staff is amazing, the entrance and lobby of the hotel are great.

The rooms are miniscule for the amount of money the cost. We booked 2 rooms with the same requirements and one was decent and the other one was about half the size, you could barely stand in front of the bed without touching the wall. The windows were broken, the bathroom door was a sliding door that did not shut. Very unpleasant.
