Location, parking, facilities were excellent!
Very comfortable, brilliant view of the lido/garden.
A little cold overnight, seemed to have single glazed windows (only stayed one night so there may well have been thermostat in the room we didn't see).
Balcony furniture was quite worn so we worried about falling through (but we didn't)
These did not affect our stay whatsoever but we just noticed it.

Nice room overlooking the lido.
The walk from the front of the hotel round to the annex at the back reveals some pretty grim looking buildings very badly in need of repair and redecorating. I’m sure the hotel staff are very aware of this, but it just looks derelict and puts people off. Everything else is fine.

It was in a good location to access Matlock bath on foot.
This hotel was very tired, we paid for a junior suite and the carpets were filthy with stains as were the pillows, furnitures. It was very tired and long overdue an update. Even the window had smashed glass.
