Elounda Beach Hotel & Villas, a Member of the Leading Hotels of the World

What I liked: The location is lovely, with spacious, green and well-maintained grounds. The reception staff were helpful and responsive. We really appreciated being allowed to check in early—it was a huge help after our early arrival. There is also a charming, cosy town just a 15-minute walk away, with lovely restaurants serving better food than the hotel.

What I didn’t like: 1. Cleanliness could be improved, including in the spa area. 2. The hotel restaurant is far too expensive for the quality of food offered, and the prices do not feel justified. 3. Breakfast was the same every day; the food was decent but nothing special. 4. I was particularly disappointed with the spa facilities, the treatments offered and the quality of service. Overall, the spa provided poor value for money. 5. The golf carts were also very disruptive, as they shared the same paths as pedestrians. A separate pedestrian walkway would make walking around the grounds more relaxing, without having to worry about being hit by a cart.

Everything in this place has perfect.

Great location, fantastic staff

The staff was attentive, the breakfast was lovely. The beach and loungers were great. We especially loved the boat tour. Ilia’s who runs it was terrific. The bell staff was lovely especially George who drove us many times in the golf carts.

The dinner at the Greek restaurant was average and not a good value. We had better meals in town for 1/2 the price. I don’t mind paying more for better quality. Overall the rooms and decor need to be updated. There was a smell in our room from our plumbing. The oil area needs updating.
