Hotel Residencial Alentejana

Good location! Next door to El Corte Ingles! First sight of the restaurant at the basement was not very impressive but the breakfast was good. Also the evening restaurant was good value for money with nice service.

Poor sound isolation in the bath room. Sometimes we had to wait quite long for the lift.

Maria is an exceptional host. Her warmth and kindness made me feel like a welcome guest in her home. The hotel was very clean and smelled lovely, creating a pleasant atmosphere from the moment I arrived. My room was cleaned every day, and the beautifully arranged towels were such a thoughtful touch. These small details made me feel cared for and made my stay even more enjoyable. Thank you, Maria, for your wonderful hospitality. I would happily stay here again!

Welcoming host - and a real reception desk / booth. Beautiful building with great character, but still providing a lovely fully equipped bathroom with toiletries and wonderful towels Restaurants, cafes, shops and parks on the doorstep, and easy walk to city centre. Great comfortable bed, and able to black out light from the street with those great wooden internal shutters. And I almost forgot, great guest lounge area, with comfy sofas, ideal for relaxing and reading.

Minor adjustments needed to the sliding catches on the shutters to make it easier to close them fully.

The hotel was nice very traditional. Our room was pleasant very clean but no kettle etc. Plenty of hot water and towels. People who have reviewed said there was a lot of noise but it was very peaceful when we stayed however it was weekend

The room was rather dark but I think that was down to all the dark wood The bathroom was clean but very tired. The code for the door didn’t work on our arrival but the lady on the ring doorbell was able to let us in.Also be aware the walk into town is downhill all the way so of course it’s uphill on the way back!!! The parking is on the street at the side of the property on a very steep hill
