Central location and nice room!

Soundproof inside, u could hear very easy or someone was talking when in ur room. Soundproof to outside was good.

We really liked the location right in the historic downtown close to the Basilica (Duomo) di Santa Maria Novella. We walked with carry-on luggage 850 meters from the train station. We booked this room only about 5 days ahead as our traveling plans had changed and appreciated being able to book this place. We had the big 'family' room and we were only 2. A nice guy working there welcomed us and gave all the info and showed us to the room. The king bed was comfortable enough and clean. The bathroom was big with 2 sinks, a shower and clean. We had just a small fridge that worked ok. They came in and did daily service with towels, shampoo, and shower gel (which we didn't expect). We could open the windows and see what was happening in the busy street below. The A/C worked and we closed the windows at night and we didn't hear much traffic noise. We saw a couple of good thunder and lightning storms with a downpour. It passed and we were able to go out :)

The lighting was a bit dim by the overhead lighting in the main area, and dark by the entrance inside the room. Bathroom lighting just ok.

Clean room, good room service. GREAT location; walk to the Duomo in under 5 minutes. Also, there is a Carrefour Express underneath in the same building.

Didn't like that there is no one full-time at reception, only from 8 to 8. We checked in late, and they left our keys under the mat. Gave me anxiety, especially with kids. Very small hotel. No kettle or microwave.Internet was choppy.
