Breakfast could of been better

Great location, very modern and clean. Great facilities and friendly staff. While the gym is small, there was no one else when we used it, and the equipment was enough to get a range of activities completed. Probably the most comfortable bed we're ever stayed in with an amazing duvet and great pillows. The room was set up for three people, which other hotels seem.

The air conditioning unit's temperature was locked.

We really enjoyed the lay out of the room. The hotel is in a great location and the noise levels are well controlled.

I booked a Suite for my Boyfriends birthday. We noticed on the booking the room would be supplied with robes. We didn't receive any. And only one pair of slippers were in the wardrobe. One of the lamps on the left hand side of the bed wasn't working and also the tv in the bathroom wasn't working either which was a bit disappointing. I wanted to vlog the room for a review but didn't want to leave with a negative vibe seeing as we have stayed at the Clayton quite a few times now. I just felt for the price point and for the exception of booking a Suite that some of the more finer details would habe been included to make the stay a bit more special.

Exec King room was very well kitted out, well presented with all facilities you'd expect. Staff were very pleasant to speak with.

Breakfast facilities were the worst I've evert seen at a Clayton - absolute chaos from start to finish. One coffee machine tucked away to cater for everyone, cups kept on tables rather than near machine - causes confusion, queues and delays. No-one allocating or showing guests to tables, leads to a lack of order and, in my case, lone travelers returning from collecting their breakfast and finding other parties have then taken their table. A lack of facilities, poor layout and no established process for seating doesn't make for a relaxed start to the day.
