Mulroy Woods Hotel

Mulroy Woods hotel is just a 5min drive from Milford, Donegal. On arrival we were greeted by the very friendly receptionist. The rooms allocated to us were 1st class. The hotel has been recently decorated to a very high standard. There was a dance on the Thursday night which the 4 of us went to and we were pleasently surprised when the cover charge included hot beaverages and biscuits. Enterainment was provided in the bar on the Saturday and was great. The staff could'nt be nicer or more helpful. I left my bag behind at breakfast and one of the waitresses put it in a safe place until I went back for it later. I have no hesitation in recommending The Mulroy Woods hotel.

On the Friday night we were dissapointed the entertainment did'nt turn up but it was'nt the end of the world

Our room was quiet and nice. The staff were good and the breakfast was good.

We were unaware it is a refugee centre. That should be noted in the advertising. Our room looked down on refugee housing. Patrons should have a choice before booking. I don’t think dual use is advisable. I would have gone somewhere else if I had known. It made my wife uncomfortable and she didn’t feel safe. The water pipes in the bathroom made a huge banging sound that was startling.
