Edinburgh House Hotel

The location is great right across from a park and close to a lovely little shopping area with great taprooms (if you like beer). Good connections to public transport with a bus stop across the road. The building itself was lovely and clean

The rooms were a little small but it wasn’t uncomfortable or anything like that. The check in time was a little late but again it really isn’t a big issue as you can drop your bags off and have a wonder if your early

The hotel was several blocks off the main drag, so there was a 5-7 minute walk to the Trams/busses. The beds were very comfortable, which surprised us all. The en-suite bathroom was clean, shower had excellent water pressure and water got hot quickly.

From first glance, we questioned whether we made a good choice. It’s a bit run down looking and the inside is dated. There was also some minor renovations occurring and the workmen were making a mess moving material through the downstairs foyer. They also managed to somehow flood the tiny bathroom in the foyer (just water, not anything else) Because the place isn’t staffed 24/7, check in was a bit frustrating but once the manager came on shift at 2pm , everything went smoothly. We were able to store our luggage there until we checked in, which was nice since we got there about 9:30am. No other amenities to speak of besides a microwave tucked into a side hall off the main foyer and a small covered patio out back.

We really loved our stay, it was clean, comfortable, close to old town center, stuff was very friendly, our parking was free because of the weekend. Highly recommended 👌

The property was close to the venue we went to

Nothing particularly about the property. Been there before couple of years ago. In the room was a smell of old building. Very heavy door, no way of opening windows, which gave the room a claustrophobic appearance.
