The Kings Head

Location and staff

The mattress needed a topper

Classic British pub in superb location. Lovely room in the annex.

Nothing.

We had a fantastic stay at The Kings Head in Deal and couldn’t recommend it more highly. We received a warm, friendly welcome and the lively yet relaxed atmosphere was perfect. Our spotless, comfortable room had a stunning sea view and everything we needed. The delicious homemade pies were a highlight, while the attentive, genuinely lovely staff made us feel especially welcome. A wonderful place to stay in a beautiful seaside town the photos do not do it justice. we’ll definitely be back!

No negatives.

Lovely view from the window, the bedding and towels were clean and comfortable, well fitted bathroom. It was a fine enough place to stay for the night.

Ceiling height in the room was barely 6ft - I think they should make you aware of this on booking as we could only just about stand up straight and I imagine lots of slightly taller guests would spend their whole stay ducking. We were hoping for cosier pub vibes but the room itself felt a bit tired and the staff were decidedly unfriendly apart from the lady who showed us to our room.
