Greenlands Hotel

I loved everything about the hotel. Modern and comfortable. The adjoining buildings were stunning, the breakfast superb, the gym was modern and well equipped and, as for the location, it was just majestic. We loved the tranquil landscape.

Nothing.

Very peaceful location with amazing grounds down to the river. Very friendly staff. Room was very clean and comfortable with a lovely picture window. Good Breakfast.

I arrived at the hotel in the evening about 7. The receptionist was the rudest person I have ever met. She shouted at me, when I couldn’t find the hotel (it’s in a separate building) . She screamed that she had told me five times. She refused to help with a taxi for the morning. Threw her chair on the ground when I asked for help to find the room. Ran ahead of me, didn’t help with bags or in any way. If you are going to work in hospitality you should at least have manners. I was interring ashes and she made it worse. The next morning the receptionist was a delight. He was Arif. Couldn’t do enough. I messaged her to say I wanted to speak to a manager…. I’m still waiting. She was there the next evening and glared at me. Unbelievable.

Night receptionist needs to be at least civil….

The room was unattractive - more like student accommodation, and not like the photos on Booking.com website. The "restaurant" for evening meals and menu was poor. Much better dining in nearby Henley. The "large" bed was a standard size double bed, and too small for my wife and I
