Hotel Vossius Vondelpark

The staff was very gentle, i forgot my airpods and when i arrived in the Front desk they handed it over to me. It was the first time I felt the room had truly been cleaned, to the point where I could smell bleach.

I took the room in the first floor so I was a little anoying hearing people arriving and talking loudly, be polite and don't talk loudly in the stairs please.

Bathroom too small and without place for dress.

Great location, just minutes from Leitzeplein and museums. Very pleasant area off busy streets and facing Vondelpark. Basic but just enough amenities for a short stay, good triple room options. Staff is friendly. We will return when visiting Amsterdam.

Safe box in the room did not work as it was out of battery (we booked 2 rooms, both the same). We reported this immediately, were told they will put a new battery straight away, but it did not happen during our 3 days stay. Had to carry our valuables the whole time in Amsterdam which was inconvenient. Shower has less than half screen so the water gets splashed despite all efforts, resulting in wet floors all over the bathroom after the whole family showered.

Quite a nice location with decent facilities. Close to the major streets of Amsterdam, it is quite accessible.

The property itself feels crammed and of poor quality, and the cleanliness of everything is certainly questionable. Strong odors each morning and barely any space in the rooms.
