I stayed at "l'Appart", a few doors from the main house. It's a complete, roomy appartment, nicely furnished so that it feels like home without feeling like someone else's. It's a middle floor, so I could hear the upstairs neighbour walking around, but reasonably quiet anyway. Good kitchen, good bed, good couch. Nice bathtub, handheld shower only.
Bruno is very hospitable and a treasure trove of information on where to go and how to get there.
It's not inexpensive, but well worth the money in my opinion.
The appartment is located quite close to the pedestrian centre of Bordeaux, so that's nice, but the immediate neighbourhood is a bit run down with lots of graffiti and neglected-looking buildings. Picturesque for me, perhaps a little sketchy-feeling for others. Parking is problematic unless one uses a nearby parking garage like "Indigo Meunier".

The welcome was warm and friendly, breakfast excellent with lovely selection of food, and personal, flexible and homely style. Loved it ! Will definitely try to book again on next visit to Bordeaux. Air conditioning in bedroom was a huge bonus and necessary in the exceptional heat during my visit.
