b-smart motel Basel

Very conveniently near the train station

Central location, good Wifi (but see below), peaceful, clean. Good coffee always available on the ground floor.

Lack of staff, but I accept that this helps to reduce costs. I arrived without access to Swiss phone networks. Expected the hotel to be a place where I could immediately catch up with everything through the Wifi. However the Wifi code was not displayed anywhere. The following morning, I walked across to the railway station to use their Wifi and discovered an email from the hotel which I'd not been able to see as I hadn't had phone coverage. Likewise the reference to initially enter the hotel. I admit that this was a lack of preparation on my part, but displaying the Wifi code would have made a big difference to my enjoyment of the hotel.

Location for me perfect

Only a coffee machine as a facility, lift only went to 3 flour this must be pointed out in the booking as a walking disability proved strenuous to climb stairs.

Room is good

Checking system is not good.
