Legendary Porto Hotel

Miguel was very helpful on reception and gave us some directions to a local restaurant that was excellent. We were able to confirm our bookings for our river tour and we were able to book the hop on off bus via reception. The breakfast was impressive with a complimentary pastel de nata. The location was great right in the middle of town and easy to get to Ribera although the teleferic was not operating and there were many steps down from to the wharf area. We loved Porto and visiting the Burmester Port cellars as well as the 6 bridges cruise. It was easy to pick up an Uber outside the hotel, although the street was very busy. I would go back in a heartbeat, if I could

Nothing really, only there was limited area for an Uber or Taxi to stop outside the hotel. If you were able to jump in for a quick get away then it was fine. It would have been good to know the teleferic to Ribera was not working as it took a while to get down the 1000 stairs to our river cruise but we just made it on time.

The location was excellent. The breakfast was great. Comfy bed.

Lighting in the room was very poor...desk lamps and one little ceiling light in an alcove next to the bathroom. Tea bags were not refilled. Although stated they had them, there were no maps at reception. Reception staff could have been friendlier and more helpful.
