Room and facilities were clean and bed was comfortable. I would recommend that a few Tea bags and a bit more sugar be made available but other than that my stay was good.

Comfortable bed. Friendly staff - Bottomless tea/coffee at the bar, complimentary drinks. Internet TV. We were visiting someone who lives in St Albans - so the location was important to us.

The room that we got did not look like the one in the Booking.com photo. We stayed in Room 7 for 3 nights. This room only has power points near the fridge where the tea making facilities are - This makes it difficult to charge phones etc. There was no arm chair and only a single dining chair under a tiny desk. The Holland blind was missing its pull chain - and because of the height, it could not be drawn open. It was the grand final long weekend so no-one to fix it - we had to prop it up using the clips on the trouser coat racks. This is specially disappointing because the hotel holds a deposit and does not pay the deposit back until they check that the room has not been damaged. It means that the damage to the blind should have been fixed before we checked in. Room 7 is right above the bistro which plays loud music was noisy during opening hours. Again - should have been considered when assigning the room to an older couple for a three day stay. The game bar hours are 10am - 4 am, and reception is closed between 4am and 10am. Also some guests arrived drunk after midnight, generally talking loudly, swearing and allowing doors to slam shut, etc - This in spite of large signs asking guests to be considerate of others. The room was not cheap, all things considered.
