We stayed in the log cabin. It was a wonderful rest to be in a cabin in such a rural area, surrounded by trees and streams. (Even in Scotlands wild wind and pounding rain!) The host responded quickly with questions we had about heating etc.
Unfortunately the bed was lumpy and were pillows hard. I woke up with a headache both mornings. We could feel the springs in the sofa before it was even opened so that wasn’t an option. Also, as we were required to thoroughly clean the kitchen and strip the bedding ourselves (which want a problem,) it seems unnecessary to have such a late, 4pm check-in, and early 10 am check-out time, even though this was posted before we rented.

Quiet and secluded but close enough for walking and places to eat. Very clean and comfortable. I especially liked the comfy bunks with a handy shelf and privacy of a curtain.

I liked everything about the property. There wasn’t a single bad thing.

The staff was very nice and helpful. It had the friendly feel of a youth hostel if that is what you are looking for.
