The Cornwall Hotel Spa & Lodges

We booked a superior double and our room was nice and big as was the bathroom, we had a lovely balcony with a fantastic view, the bed was king size and very comfortable, the spa facilities and gym were excellent the staff always greated you and were very friendly, everything worked which is a bonus as other places something is always broken. The pool is warm and not heavily chlorinated. The food in the restaurant was delicious and staff on bar were great and made us some top drawer cocktails.

We had a service dog which didn't enable us to be on the top floor of the lodges, and we really wanted peace and quiet and the numptey above us seem to be on a sponsored walk and just seem to walk around alot. Fortunately we had ear plugs for sleeping. When we had supper we were in the tea room and I felt the lighting could be more ambient as it was very bright which was the only downside to our romantic meal.

We liked the hotel, spa and gym. The site is beautiful and the location was good, too. We enjoyed the meals in the restaurant and bar. Staff were friendly and polite.

The downside was access. There are no lifts to the top floor room where we were allocated. Similarly, access to gym and spa from our room was long winded and could have been easier via fire door.

The breakfast was excellent. Very nice patio for drinks. We appreciated the pool and changing room with lockers. A great stay.

Lovely staff, comfortable bed and pillows.

Extremely stingy with water for the room. We stayed 3 nights and were given 2 250ml bottles and that’s it. Room was really cold too.
