BrewDog DogHouse Manchester

This was a very fun and stylish stay. From the moment you arrive, it really feels like a BrewDog hotel - you enter through the pub and get a welcome beer from the tap, which is a great touch. The staff were very friendly throughout our stay. The room was stylish, comfortable and full of fun details, including plenty of beer and even a fridge in the shower. Breakfast was particularly good. Rather than a standard hotel buffet, you can choose a proper dish from the breakfast menu and have it freshly prepared. Overall, the hotel has a cosy but playful atmosphere and definitely feels different from an ordinary chain hotel.

The only thing that felt a little strange was the pricing of the beer in the room. Considering this is BrewDog’s own hotel, I expected the minibar and room drinks to feel like a nice perk or at least be reasonably priced, but some of them seemed more expensive than simply buying the same beer in a grocery shop. The hotel is also on the more expensive side overall, although the rooms and experience are very good.

So well thought out and very trendy

I loved the contemporary decor, the comfy bed (the pillows were exceptional!), and friendly staff. My stay was brilliant. There were a lot of opportunities to purchase "things" in the room, and the 2 beer fridges amused me but did seem somewhat excessive (there was a beer fridge in the shower, a large fridge in the room and a gin shelf!). Breakfast was good and served quickly (you choose from the main brunch menu and it's made to order). I loved the gentle motion sensor led under the bed that gently helped me to the bathroom in the night! Overall great place to stay!

It would be easy to buy booze and snacks, and the £50 hold placed on my card could make it feel free (which it was not!).

The location worked for our stay

Restaurant/bar toilets were shockingly dirty and smelt of urine. The room bathroom had a sewerage smell and half of the charging points didnt work.
