Avilla Cave Hotel

Lovely cave style accomodation, close to all action, viewpoints, several terraces to have your breakfast and watch sunset and sunrise. Very helpfull host Metin, he arranges airport pickups for you

Strategically located at the foot of the sunset point (which requires payment for entrance but not for hotel guests) and also walkable to all parts of the old town. The owner was nice and helpful, always responsive prior to and during our stay when we texted. Home cooked breakfast spread was one of the best we had. Even the packed breakfast for our last day of early flight was amazing. Our room comes with a hot tub which came in handy in the cold weather. The hotel was just next to the infamous Kaira rooftop bar so we got nice music every evening

Many stairs in the hotel itself - not an issue for us but could be for the others. The hot tub in our room was meant to be a jacuzzi but that didn’t work at all during our stay.

Metin is a perfect example of what true customer service should be. I had several issues with this booking. There was a problem with the payment going through, and on top of that, we missed our connecting flight due to an airline issue, which made our travel plans very stressful. Throughout everything, Metin was incredibly understanding, supportive, and genuinely willing to help his guests. His kindness and professionalism really made a difference to our experience. This is what great customer service is all about. The hotel also has a fantastic location with an amazing view. I would definitely come back and stay here again. If I had to suggest just one area for improvement, it would be providing a breakfast option for guests who need to check out very early. I was travelling with my elderly mum, who needs to have some food before taking her medication, so having a simple takeaway breakfast would have been very helpful. Some other hotels we stayed at provided a sandwich or small breakfast pack for early departures, and I think this would be a thoughtful addition. Thank you, Metin, for making a difficult travel situation so much easier for us. Highly recommended!

Location was perfect. Very clean facility. Staff was very friendly.

AC could be be better for August heat and Wifi signals were weak.
