There are 2 bathrooms to be shared between 2 double rooms and 4 single rooms. A seating area with a TV, a desk and a shared bathroom are available in this room. Regency House is a small, independent, boutique hotel accommodating tourists, business people and academics. It is housed in two beautiful, five storey Victorian buildings side by side and located in Cambridge city centre. Built in 1850, the hotel has the charming characteristics of a typical Victorian townhouse, with high ceilings and sash windows. There are 16 stylish rooms and apartments split over five levels; most have a view of the historical 25-acre Parker’s Piece, and two have balconies.
Just a five-minute walk from the bus station and fewer than ten minutes from the train station.
In 2015, the hotel underwent a full refurbishment with a contemporary colour scheme designed by Farrow and Ball. The house has been transformed with new bathrooms, carpets, furniture and fittings. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house and is complimentary. Every room has a flat screen TV, DAB radio, comfortable mattresses with duck and down feather duvets and pillows.
Regency House may not be suitable for guests with disabilities or mobility issues due to the rooms being spread out over five floors. Regency House does not have a night porter to assist guests; guests must be able to evacuate themselves in an emergency. There are no vibrating pads or visual alarms at this property to alert guests with disabilities in the event of fire.
