Prince of Galle (inside the Fort)

Loved the quaintness and 1718 heritage, with incredible food, friendly staff - felt like we were staying in a living museum perfect experience within the fort.

We were kindly upgraded to the king room free of charge, which was much appreciated. The room was fantastic and well equipped, and we loved the old colonial vibe of the place, it suits the fort perfectly. The breakfast degustation was delicious and well worth it, easily one of the best breakfasts we had in Sri Lanka. Great value for the price, and the staff were polite and helpful throughout.

The power cut out briefly a few times during our stay. We did notice solar panels being installed on the roof, so hopefully this won't be an issue for much longer.

The hotel was absolutely stunning, with a serene and relaxing vibe. The welcome drink was so refreshing and delicious, I'm still thinking about it. The room was on the smaller side, but had everything we needed! The shower pressure was also great, something we missed in a lot of our other accommodations. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, 10/10 for their service! And then the breakfast - the 'Breagustation' - was to die for. This was hands down the best breakfast we've had during our 3-week trip - even so that we asked if we could take the chef home, haha.
