Nes Gard

Locatie met fantastisch uitzicht! Diner was heel goed en sfeer was aangenaam huiselijk, omdat je in de oude boerderij/woonhuis dineert.

Wij waren wat later bij het ontbijt; het personeel hebben we toen niet gezien. Tafels van gasten die al vertrokken waren, waren nog niet afgeruimd, waardoor het wat ongezellig oogde. Wel jammer, want de ontbijtruimte zelf was heel erg prachtig verbouwd.

Nicely kept place. More of a small hotel than a B&B. Small room but well decorated and pleasant. Very good breakfast. we arrived late at night (11pm) as our flight was delayed and appreciated the ability to check in later than the official closing time.

We had a twin room and the two single beds were incredibly narrow. I'm a UK size 10 and fitted on OK but I think many people might struggle. To be fair, narrow beds seem to be a bit of a thing in Norway generally. Quite expensive compared to other places we stayed at but I think that's possibly the area.

Excellent location, easy access by car and great views. Breakfast was ok, not exceptional but good.

Room was upstairs so we had to carry our luggage by stairs (one floor). Bathroom was small (anyway manageable), and mattress was way too soft.

Exceptional location. Good prices off season. Kind and welcoming staff. Good breakfast.

The rooms in the old barn building have a deep musty wet wood stink that stuck with us for days after. The room was not clean in several places and had cobwebs. Everything creaks and makes noise especially the floor. The room is not soundproof. The window latch was broken and let in cold air. If you arrive in the dark, the parking and entrance are completely dark. Good luck understanding where the hotel or reception is. Tiny sign for reception on a random building and otherwise nothing. This is fine for overnighting in a pinch, but we absolutely did not enjoy our stay.
