Loved the Viking room. The decor is all made by local artisans and the skylight roof meant you could watch the massive waterfalls from bed if you liked. The dining area building is also locally crafted and quite cool. Having breakfast included is helpful in Norway and there were plenty of choices and freshly baked bread.

Beautiful location, charming hotel. The staff were very welcoming and hospitable. The cider and cheesecake were delicious. The gift shop has unique and lovely merchandise. The bridge across the water is a great place for fjord pictures. The ferry dock makes it a busy location, with lots of tourists coming and going. The Viking Valley experience next door made this a perfect stop on my trip.
I was looking forward to having more of a cozy, Viking themed room. My room was very nice, and clean. But it was set up like any other hotel room. The walls are also very thin so I was woken up by my neighbors and could hear almost everything they were doing.

Nice setting. Clean sheets.
Price for facilities too high. Poorly stocked kitchen - one knife and one bowl had to ask for others. On arrival staff on reception were not helpful or particularly welcoming. The bedroom is overlooked by front doors of other guests so no privacy unless curtains closed.
