Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Calgary by IHG

Everything is great except the tv in room(old, not much channels options for kids to watch)

We stayed here for one night during Stampede weekend. The location was perfect—close enough to walk to Cowboys Music Festival, which was exactly why I chose this hotel. To our surprise, we were upgraded to a top-floor suite with a rooftop balcony overlooking downtown Calgary. It was a wonderful bonus and made our stay feel extra special. The room itself was very clean, and the bathroom was well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and what appeared to be a steam shower. I’m still not entirely sure how the steam shower worked, but it was a nice feature! There were a couple of minor maintenance issues. We noticed some repaired water damage on the ceiling, and the underground parkade was very damp, with a garbage can collecting water from what looked like a leak. The underground parking is also quite tight, so I’d recommend it for smaller vehicles. There is above-ground parking available as well. The hotel offers breakfast, although we didn’t have a chance to try it. We did enjoy the coffee, though! Overall, we had a great stay. The staff made a wonderful first impression, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location couldn’t have been better for enjoying Stampede festivities. We’d happily stay here again.

Very conveniently located near my wife’s surgery locations, clean room, great staff

Very modern and clean hotel.
