Classik Hotel Antonius Köln City

The distance to Cologne Main Station is short enough that you can easily walk there, and the subway station served by lines 16 and 18 is also very close. There are stores like Rewe and DM near the hotel as well, which makes it convenient to pick up anything you might need.

The parking lot is not attached to the hotel and is located separately. If you want to access the parking lot between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., you must request a card from the reception in advance. (Even though we received the card, we weren’t given clear instructions on how to use it, so we ended up having to park elsewhere. The emergency contact line also didn’t connect.) Communication with the staff was not smooth either. Since the reception closes after 10 p.m., we left a message on Booking.com around midnight regarding a late checkout, but we never received any reply—not even by the time we checked out. The room showed signs of age throughout. The bathtub had several visible cracks, and we frequently saw silverfishes in both the room and the bathroom. Despite the cold weather, none of the heating devices worked. It might be fine for staying for a day or two, but I would definitely not recommend it for a trip with children or parents.

The rooms are comfortable, clean and between the comfortable bed, AC and dark curtains, we were left with plenty of rest. Easy self checking system, the staff let us check out slightly later as well as use the lockers downstairs for storing our luggage on our last day when we had a later flight. The location was also fantastic, not in the busy area but a very short walk to some great restaurants, the train station and the cathedral.

The only thing I would say is I would have liked one more pillow by default, as they only provided one big and one small. I'm sure they would have provided one if we asked though, as overall it was a great stay.

A lovely stay in a great location for exploring Cologne. The hotel was clean, comfortable and welcoming, with friendly staff. A great base for a couple of nights and somewhere we’d happily stay agai

Location, staff, room size

We booked a room for 3, so a separate bedroom and a common room. We didnt have any bedding, pillows or blankets for the fold out coach. The fridge in the room had a broken door and kept slamming extremely loud when it was closed. The 2nd room there were literally no furniture, it was quite creepy and felt extremely cheap.
