What a fabulous surprise this AXY Milan ended up being....such an indiscrete entry off a major street with an elevator up to a cozy lobby with adjacent terrace and breakfast room...immediately the staff sought to make us feel at home and comfortable offering drinks and snacks and whisking our luggage to our rooms-which were superbly appointed with a modern vibe which you could just tell are maintained beautifully and kept up to date - complimentary stocked fridge, welcome macaroons, slippers etc all lend to the feeling you needed nothing more. Rooms were quiet and ours had a lovely balcony area overlooking the rooftops with the Duomo in the distance (walkable to thru a lovely park with medieval city walls, if you don't want to wait for the Hop On/Off Bus which has a stop close to the hotel/which we walked several times)...when returning to the hotel after exploring there were often extra surprises/appetizers/wine and cheese offered complimentary, and wine and espresso/cappucino were always available, which was perfect to take out and enjoy on the lobby terrace. The 'breakfast room' was perfect size for the guests coming thru and offered a varied menu, we highly recommend including this in your stay. The staff was excellent - with the general manager most often in the lobby assisting guests and all staff super helpful, with excellent English, and they used back halls and lifts so were out of sight, and when needed seemed to magically appear (I caught a pair of staff cleaning a spot on a rug where a spill had occurred and they dissolved into the background and stepped out of the hallway when guests came off the elevator, keeping the "clean up" as if the spill had never occurred)....100% professional staff are all well-schooled in the art of making one feel as they are the most important guest. Well done!

We seemed to have trouble with our keyless entry when arriving back at the hotel after being out and about-several times we had difficulty getting the doors to recognize our key cards and open...however, having said that, we'd just ring the bell and they would send a valet down to open the door for us- it wasn't a major problem, and we definitely felt as if we were the nuisance/problem, because the issue was most probably due to our technical deficiencies! By the way, the staff never made us feel as if we were needy or incompetent - they were all super friendly and welcoming!

Exceptional service and staff. Best experience we've received compared to the many hotels we've previously stayed at. We were greeted at the entrance and our luggage delivered to the room. Light lunch and dinner included with the cost of accommodations, including soft drinks and snacks throughout the day. Couldn't be happier with our stay.

Brilliant stay here, with Walter helping us out at the front desk and giving us some great recommendations and advice. From the outside, I was a bit sceptical, but as soon as we stepped inside, all my doubts were eased. The room was spacious, comfortable and modern, and it was cleaned to a very high standard every day. The included mini-bar was also a really nice touch. The complimentary drinks and snacks in the main lobby were ideal too, e specially being able to grab a bottle of water before heading out, as well as some snacks for the airport. Overall, I really can't fault the hotel. It's in an ideal location for all the main attractions, and we had a fantastic stay. I would definitely recommend it and would happily stay here again.
