Buffet breakfast was amazing! Wide variety of food, it was all fresh and delicious. Bed was really comfy and I appreciated having movie channels and fox sports on the tv.

for wifi you had to scan a qr code then create a marriot hotel account then select the hotel you were staying and choose a payment tier. Even though there was a free tier, it was over complicated and time consuming and I eventually gave up. You should just be given a password at check in for your room wifi.

Beautiful looking hotel and great location, everything walkable. Chaise and lounge / coffee table was a nice combination. The 'walk in' closet is a lovely feature giving a suite feel without an actual suite. Offsite parking a little expensive at I think 100/night but I acknowledge this is central Sydney.

The touch control buttons were annoying for the lights and plug points. The writing is not backlit so hard to see in the dark, seems a little design oversight. They are also rather finicky. The bathroom while asthetic is very dark. For women wanting natural lighting for make up, had to use the mirror in the light display over the coffee table. A perrenial issue for many hotels, thought W might have had the solution. Makes one feel as if the hotel doesn't trust the guests at check in. Deposit of a 300 per night was an unusual experience. Usually it's a hold on a card. This extends to little signs in the bathroom stating any missing lotions/soaps will be charged to the guest (must have a lot go missing, that said the bottles are left loosely on the shower and sink rather than bolted to the wall, so I guess some must get confused). The fact that a sign has to be put in the room is unfortunate. They forgot to replace the cards for overnight orders for meals/brekkie to the room. Not a big deal but noted. Staff were prompt with calls when one could get through to them. There was a conference that weekend as well so I feel they needed extra staffing.
