The Monarch Hotel

One of the most beautifully decorated buildings I've ever visited. Everything is made with attention to detail, and the color combinations are so vibrant. Staff was friendly without invading our space. I also liked that they seemed to have interns training while we were there. One small complaint: the shampoo and shower wash in the bathroom are unreasonably high. A child that's old enough to shower alone may have trouble reaching.

Alcohol free hotel so be aware. Staff lovely and rooms well appointed. I have had hot water issues on the last two visits and the lack of a fridge in the room is a pain. Breakfast service can be slow. Would recommend due to location and staff.

Exceptional Boutique Hotel with period furniture, rich paintings, large rooms, excellent decor, well maintained small hotel. The building is a Heritage building converted from an old telephone exchange and post office. Location is on Oxford Road, next to Metro station, and is close to Rosebank Mall - they provide Golf cart service. Safe location. Staff is excellent and responsive and friendly. The breakfast is very good. Very happy with the stay and would consider it again.
