The staff are really nice and friendly, but the service itself is inconsistent; sometimes the staff fail to respond to requests. The rooms are good size but not spacious with issues in the design, such as window not opening because it’s blocked by curtain rail, or if you open closet door it blocks bathroom entrance, pound sound from aircon, etc. Most rooms have a terrible view, with some you cannot even open the curtain, such as room on ground floor with window overlooking hotel restaurant! And others construction workers are exactly at your window. I had to change the room two times with most options being unacceptable. Hotel has no facilities other than the spa. The restaurant only opens for breakfast. That said, the rooms are very clean and location is amazing. Generally, a pleasant stay but value for money is very bad.

The Mandarin Oriental was the highlight of my first visit to London. I booked stays at Mandarin Oriental hotels for my entire tour—covering Paris, London, Amsterdam, Prague, and Vienna. Catherine and Caroline, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful experience. I am so grateful to them, as well as to the doormen who even provided water for our Uber ride on the day we departed.
