I could not have been more centrally located. It is an old place, so floors slope and doorways are low. But after a few weeks in these parts, I know to look. Dinner was lovely; the pie superb. And I was grateful they minded my luggage after checkout since my train departure was later in the day.

Stayed for 3 nights on a city break to York. The hotel was incredibly convenient for walking round the city. The room was beautiful, cosy and well appointed. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was excellent. We had breakfast included, there was good choice and it was very tasty.
