Tacoma Center Motel

Very affordable priced!! I work almost 2 hours from home so I booked a night because I was tired after a 14 hour shift. The front desk employee was AWESOME! Very kind, courteous & helpful. Parking was right outside the room door so it felt very safe to park my car. They use old school keys so no need to worry about locking yourself out when unloading/loading baggage. Located next to a gas station so food was conveniently located. High quality curtains blocked out all the bright lights. So the room was dark enough to rest. Fan provided in the room for white noise without specific request, very convenient for late check in.

The room smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke. The heater was turned off so the room was very cold upon arrival. It's right next to a gas station so lots of loud traffic.

The refrigerator and the microwave worked fine. The heating and cooling unit worked great. The bed was ok. The location was 10 minutes away from the event that I was attending

I was afraid that the chairs would collapse below me. The legs were spindly and had been bend previously. The pillows were used up. There is no shelf in the shower to put your soap, shampoo, razor on. You have to put all of that stuff on the toilet tank and reach out for it as the shower progresses. The lighting consisted of a single bulb in the light fixture on the ceiling. No room service and no clean towels. No coffee. No ice machine.
