The rooms are basic but comfortable. Free wifi provided. The bathroom has recently been renovated. Great shower. Very convenient to all services in Halls Gap. All shops within 5minutes walk. Great views in all directions.
The attention to detail for some things could be much, much better. For example, my room could have done with a good vacuum after the previous guest departed. The toilet seat was not secured to the pan. There is litter around the grounds of the motel. Outside my room, there were cigarette buts and other rubbish. The communal BBQ hot plate was very dirty.

Large room, close location to shops and cafes, and a nice view to mountains from the small outdoor area. The room and amenities were adequate for our needs.
Nothing, it was what we expected for the price given location in Halls Gap.

The location is the best thing about this place. I was in room 6 at the end and the bathroom has been partly renovated with a new floor and a fantastic new rain shower! But the bathroom is cold in cold weather. A new air conditioner provides heating. The room has a beautiful view onto the common and the mountains. It is comfortable, clean but basic accommodation. The managers are very friendly and helpful.
Like most Grampians accommodation, it needs some renovation, which is happening at the Kookaburra Motor Lodge. Don’t expect the same level of comfort as the chain hotels. It is basic, clean and comfortable.

Notices around the room and Information in the provided folder was outdated which gave me the sense that the owners were not that passionate about the business.
