Because the beach is reserved for owners and their guests, it is much quieter than the beaches in downtown Gulf Shores.

Guests have access to the entire home except for:
• A locked supply cabinet in the primary bedroom closet
• A locked supply closet off the first‑floor hallway
Golf carts and beach tents can be rented locally to enhance your stay.
Guests must be 25 years or older to rent Shalom DeMar Beach House.
Other Things to Note
• Repeat renter discounts are available—send an inquiry for details.
• Snowbirds are welcome during the off‑season.
• We strongly encourage purchasing travel insurance due to the coastal location. • VRBO offers insurance at booking, and many third‑party providers are available.

We had an amazing stay at Shalom DeMar ! The home was exactly as advertised and was exceptionally clean when we arrived. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing vacation, and honestly, even more than we expected.The host and co-host were fantastic throughout our stay. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and they were always quick to respond and help with any questions, concerns, or issues that came up. Their hospitality made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a wonderful beach getaway. We would definitely stay here again!

This beach house had everything our family and dog needed! They thought of every detail. From the screened in porch to every utensil or pot, you could need the master bed was so comfortable! And the hosts were so friendly and welcoming. The house was the perfect location and I give this house in the host five out of five stars. She even helped me find an urgent care when I needed one.

Shalom DeMar is truly fabulous! Hosts are very quick to respond to any issue or questions you may have. I , my husband, oldest granddaughter and Cookie the chihuahua come down every summer to stay for a week and our host really did think of EVERYTHING to have available in home. I did forget to bring a bowl for dog , but not worry, there was several in cabinet (from large size for the bigger breeds down to the smallest for the toy breeds).House has plenty of room without being too big. We didn’t have to worry about getting in each others way moving in common areas. The kitchen is excellent for anyone who likes to cook on holiday. I personally cook/ bake a lot and was very impressed with how well it was outfitted. I really appreciated having commonly used spices and seasonings on hand for use. There is a shower outside for rinsing sand off , but since it has hot and cold water, I showered there EVERYDAY, and thoroughly enjoyed and going to miss. We also really appreciated not having to pack beach equipment to bring. What our hosts provided was great. Love my gift bag (both) that were left for us. And the lip sunscreen was perfect. You can’t go wrong with staying at this fabulous house with hosts who are top tier and the best I’ve had since staying at VRBO vacation homes for over 10 years.

There's nothing bad to say about this place. It had everything to accommodate us in having a relaxing and fun-filled family beach trip. The owners have great attention to detail and thought of everything. The labeling in the camp was so helpful. Hanging hooks placed where needed is always appreciated. The dogs figured out and loved using the dog doors and the fenced in dog run downstairs. Dog bags were provided. They were in Heaven coming and going as they pleased and not having to wait for one of us to leash them up and walk them downstairs. Care packages left along the way by host were an added bonus. The camp is very well laid out. The spaces are used efficiently and everything flows very well. We loved sitting on the screened porch in the mornings and in the evenings. We loved and played almost all the board games left for us. The owners/hosts were very responsive and helpful from the beginning and along the way. The camp is in a great location. About a 7 minute walk to the beach (cart provided) and it is a short drive east over to the food trucks where we had dinner one night and listened to live music. We were able to pack so much into a short trip with not the best weather, but it didn't matter. We have stayed at almost a dozen rentals in Fort Morgan at this point, and this is by far our favorite.
