The Stone Hedge Bed and Breakfast

Stone Hedge is a traditional bed and breakfast and offers wonderful hospitality. The shuttle service was a bonus and we really appreciated being picked up at the bus interchange and the next day being taken to Vancouver Airport. Upon arrival at Stone Hedge we found that we had been upgraded to a lovely room that was full of character, spotlessly clean and comfortable. We liked the seating area and the tea and coffee making facilities that were just next to our room and also the lovely garden and pool where we enjoyed breakfast in the morning. The location is very convenient because it is just a 10 minute walk to a shopping centre complete with supermarket, liquor store and several dining options. We must also mention the “potty art” – future guests will be able to experience this for themselves – quite a novelty! Of course, apart from the accommodation itself, the highlight has to be the sumptuous breakfast, prepared by Linda and served by Brian – absolutely delicious and plentiful. Unfortunately, we could not do it justice as there was just too much for us to manage! Brian is a great raconteur and a wealth of information and we much enjoyed chatting with him at breakfast and learning a little about the local area and its history. Thank you, Brian, for making our last night in Canada a memorable experience!

There were no negatives - this is a great place to stay.

Breakfast was very good. Location was good!

I was sold the idea that there was a hot tub that could be used. That was the reason i booked. How ever the hot tub was for private use of only one of the rooms, not mine.

This is a very unique, characterful property; a very different experience to staying in a hotel. If you enjoy minimalistm, this is not the place for you. The breakfast was amazing! We are outside by the lovely pool.

Though we had a bathroom assigned for our exclusive use, it was across the hall. Only a minor inconvenience however.

I was just there for a short overnight stay, but the host was exceedingly gracious and helpful.
