Hotel Carmel Santa Monica

This would have been a 10/10 review, but I have to give it an 8.5/10 because of the air conditioning. It was turned off when we arrived, and we later found out it was because of the noise. Unfortunately, it’s extremely loud, making it almost impossible to sleep with it on. Other than that, everything was perfect! The bed was extremely comfortable, the pillows were great, and the room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was also very clean. The location is excellent, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and the Santa Monica Pier is only about a 10-minute walk away. I absolutely loved my stay and would have given it a perfect score if it weren’t for the air conditioning!

Worth to book for the location only, close to the beach and many nice restaurants and central boulevard.

Very old and outdated room, windows have zero isolation so you hear everything from the street and its busy street there. AC is super old and noisy and no proper control for the temperature, cooling more than supposed to. It’s good only for one or two nights stay, wouldn’t stay longer there as you cannot have proper rest if hot outside and noisy
