Hyatt House Dallas Uptown

Room was clean and spacious. It was within walking distance of where we needed to be. Parking is covered and private.

The bed was hard and the pillows were ultra flat, like basically nonexistent when you lay on them. The window pane was falling off. There was a crack underneath the pane in the foundation big enough to let light in. You could literally grab the pane and pull it away and the only thing holding it on was it still being attached in one corner. Because of this, it sounded as if the window was open the entire time which was no good since we were facing the busy street. Sleep was impossible once traffic started coming in. I told staff and she said they already knew about it. When I told her we got no sleep because of it all she said was sorry.

Location and clean room

Breakfast is not good. More options are needed and food needs to be separated because of cross-contamination. There were kolaches and salmon fillets in the same container and the fish smelled terrible.

Loved the size and comfort of the room. Parking on the same level as my room was convenient. Breakfast was a nice added bonus.

Room was stylish, modern, and everything was in good repair. Location was very convenient to the Art District and every museum was within walking distance.

They spring a 40 dollar per day parking fee on you. It's effectively a bait and switch tactic. You think you are getting a great deal on a room only to find out after fees you are paying what every other hotel room in the area costs. Booking.com did not mention the parking fees. The walls are also super thin and poorly insulated and you hear it everytime your neighbor runs the water or flushes the toilet. My neighbor kept waking us up all night long.
