The Cottage

Great selection of breakfast cereals - we were vacating at 0400 hrs!

Walls very thin! Could hear fellow guests breathing let alone snoring!

Very convenient for the airport

The car park was a bit chaotic but a member of staff did come out immediately to help by moving a ca so that was great customer service.

The cottage was in a great location with only a 10 minute walk to the airport ,no need for a taxi . The property was clean and inviting 2ith the added bonus of breakfast if you wish .The room was clean and tidy in both days i booked as we stayed the day before iur flight and the day of our return flight. Didn't see any staff apart from the day of leaving a lady was cleaning rhe room next door and keys were left inside on the dining table ,the door to the property was unlocked at qll times . Rooms are very compact but have all you need for your stay.

Although this is no fault of the cottage on both days I stayed i found the property to be noisey .from guests returning and leaving.Due to the rooms being next to each other and it been and old building the noise travelled. We had an early flight on our arrival and was woken by people coming to the property early hours .Then we arrived on our return about 1am and was very respectful to be quiet but was woken buy guests leaving and the lady cleaning the room next door at 7.30am which I did feel was a little early considering check in is at 3pm . Again no fault of the cottage but walking back from the airport at 1am the lane of the cottage is very dark with little footpath so need to be careful when walking to and from cottage.

The cottage is situated on a road which has no street lighting, only has pavement along part of its length (with overhanging hedges making the available walking space very narrow), and is relatively busy pretty much all the time (judging from the amount of traffic noise during the night I was there). I had delivered a hire car back to the airport and so made my way between the airport and the cottage on foot. I found this to be somewhat dangerous due to the nature of that road, and would not recommend anyone else to use the cottage without bringing a car.

The bathroom was so small that the washbasin was actually built into the toilet cistern. I really did not like that arrangement at all.
