Overall was great. Location is convenient. Friendly and helpful staff. But just like other reviews, the room is a bit cold.

I made a booking for a week and selected the option of payment on arrival. When I showed up Monday night, the lady looked at my ID and said only tourists (outside of GTA) are allowed. She refused to check me in and had no customer service skills. They should fix their postings! It was a waste of time and energy. Awful experience.

Quick getaway to Toronto for a couple of days. Check in was a breeze (I did it online to speed things up). I stayed in an all female, 4 bed (2 bunks), room. Absolutely loved the fact that each bunk had our own light, power outlet and a curtain to minimize light pollution for late sleepers/early risers. Showers were clean, (the shampoos, conditioner and soap that were provided were great) and separate from the toilet area. Strong water pressure and always hot water. The only thing I thought was strange was the shower room could be completely accessible by males, I'm not sure if there was a separate shower for them on my floor. But the hostel felt safe to me. Card access required to enter the hostel and the room areas and of course your room. Lockers in the room as well. My bed creaked a bit when shifting around in bed, enough to disturb my bunk mate but I suspect she didn't use ear plugs. Blanket was warm, bed and pillow were comfy. I never got to partake in breakfast so I can't comment on that. Location is wonderful. Close to enough to Downtown you could walk and streets cars are very close and frequent. Tons of restaurants nearby and convenience stores and pharmacies. Hostel was clean and the staff were friendly! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

It being near downtown makes it very convenient but other than that it's nothing to write home about. I was late checking out which is definitely on my part but nowhere is it stated how much the late fee is. She said since it was 4 hours that it would be 50 bucks. I looked at their company policies and all it said was "late checkout may result in additional fees." So how did they come to this number? Is it a flat fee or is it based upon how late I was checking out? I dont know because it's not posted anywhere. If it was posted then i'd be more understanding because as I know my fault for checking out late. Furthermore she didn't explain anymore then it would 50 dollars, and then said "you can go now" which is not really pleasant, should really say instead "anything else I can help you with" or "you're good to go."

It was easy to take the bus to the Center of the city, there are many restaurants near the hostal, the price for staying there is accesible, and the breakfast is very good.
I didn't like the noise the beds make and the way I was welcome when I arrived because the guy at the desk asked me about a credit card with my name, some credit cards in México have no name on It, just the number.

Place very silent. Large room and confy bad. Unfortunatly, they tried to charge me for the airport transfer which was included in the price I had already paid. Breakfast not so good.

stayed in a private room and despite sharing bathroom, it was clean, quiet (despite evening garbage truck pick ups) and the staff super friendly and helpful

Great experience. The room was a little small and was supposed to get a queen bed, but it was more like a double. No big deal tho. Very clean and offered a great variety for breakfast too.

Excellent bagels for breakfast, and I love the bedside lamp! Very clean, good public connection. People in the surroundings at night were a little bit scary sometimes.

There was no free parking anywhere until 9pm every day even on Sunday. Other thank that if your not used to sleeping around others or sharing I wouldn't recommend this place. If your ok with that and on a budget this place would work. Over all my trip worked out and this place did what it said it would. They had a little breakfast spread a nice chill area and different types of travelers..

It was much nicer than I anticipated. I’m the dorm rooms had curtains around the beds which blocked out noise and provided privacy. Lots of dining options around even late.

The property is not good but poor. Their staff are pretty nice though. I expected too much because the price was expensive.

This hostel is at a great location right in the middle of a hip area. Like many big cities there is a shelter nearby but I never had an issue.
The hostel was clean and provided free breakfast. The breakfast was simple.
The hostel had activities on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday which was a great way of getting to know some people. I made some friends and then we explored together!
The staff were very friendly.
The hostel has a kitchen, a dining area, and a common area.
I stayed in a six bed room. Each bed had curtains, working plugs, a light, and lockers. Each floor had bathrooms and showers. Showers included soap/shampoo/conditioner. And bathroom/showers were kept clean and functional.
The bunk beds were noisy -- I could hear every movement someone made. Earplugs are a must which the hostel offers for free.

it was great stay in Samesun. Staff was so helpfull and friendly. Room was clean and there was AC in the room so there was no smell . They also organized the tour to Toronto Island. it was so much fund. Special thanks to Molly for her support and help. Looking forward to come back soon.

It was a basic hostel. Basic breakfast - bagels, cereals and waffles. The location is near some stops of street car but there are some weird people outside or in the area so consider that when you are walking at night. There was a leak inside our room not sure if it was fixed as I checked out that day.

Great place
4.0
Great area with tons of restaurants, walking distance to museums and University of Toronto and even downtown.
Shared 6-bed room and common areas were clean. Bathroom needed a bit more attention (urinal smelled and bathroom could have been scrubbed a bit more).
Take your own towels as needed was good (better than some hostels limiting you to 1 towel at check-in).
No elevator, so higher floors are a hike.
Mix of guest ages from 20s-60s was good. Everyone seemed respectful and so many good and interesting conversations.
Overall. a good hostel stay.

It was so refreshing to have the pictures match the poperty exactly. Everyone very friendly. It was so clean. Free wifi was my 16 year old daughter's favorite feature. She still got to keep in touch with her friends & keep up with everything going on back in windsor.

Absolutely horrible! The second the manager looked at me, I could tell she didn't want me staying there. She started asking all these questions and saying stuff about policy this and policy that, even though none of these policies were written anywhere or communicated to me in any form. All because I walked in wearing a tank top and yoga pants with my tattoos showing, carrying a backpack and wheeling a suitcase. She scrutanized my ID like she thought I stole it, and decided I lived in Toronto just because I got my passport there, even though I showed I showed her my banking information showing an address with a different city. (It's a 5 year old passport. Does she not think people move in that period?!) Then she got straight up offended like I called her a name when I said I don't have picture ID with my address on it. In the end, she wouldn't let me check in and cancelled my reservation. Absolutely horrible and I very highly recommend a different place to stay!

Pretty expensive hostel for that area.
The area around Kensington Market is SO sketchy! I was shocked to see so many impoverished people living on the streets & tent cities around that area.
No gluten free options for the breakfast.
Bed was comfy. WiFi was good.
Lots of hotwater in the showers.
Taco & burger places nearby.
