If you love nature, this is the perfect place. Great hiking trails, mixed easy, average and difficult paths. The waterfall is a must see! Along the paths, nature offers a beautiful display of rocks and minerals for the amateurs... Wild berries, apple trees... the lake facing the cabin... going to bed and waking up to the sound of birds and flowing waters.... more than we asked for. This place really bears its name!
We were expecting some pristine water in the lake the since it is elevated. However, it was muddy.

Pretty small lake perfect for kids to swim with some kayaks and pedal boats; chalets were nicely isolated from one another. Friendly staff. Lots of nice leafy green trees.
Missing a bit of grass around the chalet.

When we arrived not one but three of the staff pointed out the check in was 4pm after my request for 3pm check in was approved by the third person I was ready to leave but decided to at least check out the cabin the cabin was the saving grace. Unfortunately not the welcome I was anticipating

The view was awesome. The screened in desk was awesome. Nice place to have a fireplace. It Echos alot, that was fun.
The place was nice just felt old. Not really well maintained. Stairs were rotten and not solid. The inside it just felt old.

Very peaceful and serene! We had our own private cabin in the woods. It’s very private, but you have all the amenities. You need to bring your own bedding, toilet paper and food, which you can cook on their stove. Ours had had electricity , but some have generators. There is a little lake on the property and many excellent hiking trails . A beautiful waterfall and small rapids are inside the trails . So quiet that all your hear are the birds-it really is a paradise!
Some of the trail markings could have been more clear with names on them . Very muddy trails , so you need boots ! Tons of bugs , so bring lots of bug spray!

Wonderful place! We were there midweek in October and had the WHOLE place to ourselves! Perfect place to reconnect with your family, nature, inner peace and tranquility. A photographer's dream, absolutely gorgeous! Rustic but clean, perfect for families in the summer with the lake, honeymooners who don't want to be disturbed or a place to recover from burnout or stress. Hot shower to keep relax, woodstove to keep you warm and a good book is all you need. Two of the three are provided! If you don't want to start a fire, there is heat! Seeing the mist rising off the lake early morning takes your breath away and calms the soul. I highly recommend this place to EVERYONE!
