Could not ask for a better place to stay in Montreal. Great location; close to restaurants, Atwater market, corner store, bike rental. Will stay here again.

Everything was as described. We had to call the host to clarify the address and he answered the phone at 7PM. The space worked well for our family, we cooked several meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. The corner store was great, had everything including wine and beer. One note about the stairs, they are very steep and narrow, use caution.
I would definitely stay here again, a short walk to the metro allowed us to use public transportation to easily.

Respectful of the building's heritage (with a touch of elegance) & the neighbourhood's character. Speaking of which, the quartier St-Henri is full of youth & vibrancy, where all have the sense of being fully integrated. Québec hospitality in microcosm. Nearby parks, IGA, historic Atwater market, public transport, etc. Centre-ville a short trip away. Ample space for 4 of us. Friendly suggestions - doorbell, rear door lock & stairway railing need some gentle attention. Impeccably clean. We loved our stay! Merci!

We spend almost a week in the apartment to explore the city. It is close to the Place St. Henri metro station. We used it to explore plenty of museums and the downtown area.
It is really quite neighborhood. Parking is a little tricky but for the two days where we had to find a spot we found one not so far form the apartment.
Thanks for providing us this nice temporary home. When we return to Montréal we will check if it is available again.

Came for a few days to check out Montreal with our adult kids. They went off to comicon and we explored. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. We were close to the metro which made it so easy to do everything we wanted to do. The Atwater market is a close walk and we were able to pick up food to cook in the equipped kitchen. Would definitely come back!

This property was clean and functional. We loved the outdoor table area for both meals and relaxing.
It was well situated within walking distance of Atwater market, which provided us some great culinary experiences without having to eat out.
There were some nice restaurants in the area as well. Would recommend.

The information pack provided was most welcome giving useful details to really get the most from our stay. The area was residential and quiet. We really enjoyed sitting on our terrace in the sunshine between our outings . Would recommend highly.

Wonderful place to stay while you are in Montreal, The apartment is cute clean and convenient for easy access to the underground metro system. We have nothing but great things to say about the unit we stayed in, having resided there twice a year for the last five years. The only downside, and there are two of them would be the stairs to reach the third-floor which are steep and the car parking on the street can sometimes be a challenge

Excellent apartment, clean and comfortable. Located in an area with lots of restaurants and Atwater market within walking distance. The house and kitchen were well equipped with laundry machines, iron, pots and pans. Street parking was a bit difficult depending on time of day, but we usually found a spot within 2 blocks of the apartment. The owner thoughtfully provided a binder with neighborhood restaurant descriptions and there were also games and books. Family with two teenagers. Would definitely recommend or stay again.

Our family stayed in this apartment for 4 days and it was perfect for us! The location was out of the general hubbub of the city but it was easy to get into the city on the metro. All the beds were very comfortable. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. If you have any mobility issues you should rent another of Etienne's apartments because the stairs going up are very steep....it worked well for us though. If we come back to Montreal we will rent this apartment again!

Headed here for a three-day road trip with my son. Apartment was spacious, light-filled and well-laid out with a good little stereo (we are now fans of 107.3 "la Rouge"). Bathroom was clean and well-equipped with a washer, dryer and rain shower showerhead. Beds--one room with twins and one queen--were extremely comfortable with high thread count bedding. TV room was adequate, but only had a fouton for seating--might be a bit uncomfortable for more than three. Dining table for six and deck with BBQ grill (below zero during our visit, but sure to be nice in the summer). Parking was readily available on the block in winter--apartment even had shovels we could use to dig out from the March blizzard! Only minor drawback was the lack of drygood essentials (sugar, salt, pepper, spices, etc.). This made it impractical to cook in, but I suspect that the space would be equipped in this regard were we visiting during a busier time of year. Neighborhood was great with many restaurants in walking distance and the owner seemed to have reviewed most of them based on the great binder of vacation suggestions in the house. Finally, though we didn't get to meet the owner, he responded quickly to our questions. We would happily stay here during our next visit!

This was our second time at one of Etienne's apartments and we will certainly be back as we travel to Montreal frequently. Both Gallery 2 and 3 look the same although #2 has a very large deck which was useful for hosting a supper with my family and friends. The apartments are attractively decorated, well maintained and have a decent stock of kitchen tools and dishes. Important for us as we prefer to cook at home. Our queen bed was certainly comfortable and my teenage boys had no problem sleeping until the afternoon in the twin beds. I love the location; a quiet, family neighbourhood with a tennis court and a park nearby. A depanneur is on the corner when you need milk or other essentials at 10 pm. The Lachine canal where we enjoyed long walks and planned (but never did) a bike trip to the end of the Island is a few blocks away. It is a short walk to the Atwater market where we indulged in the wonderful bakeries and prepared food stores. There are certainly plenty of nice-looking restaurants close by but we rarely eat out when we visit my hometown. The closest metro station is a 10-minute walk away. I would never rent a car in the city given the perpetual construction and lack of free or low cost parking. If one thing could be improved, it would be the indoor entertainment in the form of books, games, jigsaw puzzles and television. The owners invite us to call them for videos which we did not do this time as we had little opportunity for evening viewing but the small selection at the condo was uninspiring; there are few interesting TV channels, no netflix on the TV and the CD player was not working. We had an ipad for watching some shows but it is small and we wished we had brought at least our small wifi speaker to listen to music without earphones. Some books about Montreal or a greater variety of magazines would have been appreciated. Thank you Etienne for providing a great pied à terre in Montreal.

My son & I stayed in the apartment Wed-Sun and were very happy here. The place is kept well, spacious and is in a good location. The metro is within walking distance as are many restaurants and a grocery store. I've told colleagues about the place, and would definitely stay here again!

This condo has a terrific location. The residential area is pleasant and quiet, and it's very close to the Lachine canal. That's a great walk into the old town area. It's also very close to the Atwater market which is great for purchasing dinner on the way back. The metro station is also quite convenient which opens up access to the rest of Montreal. The owners are helpful and have provided a lot of information on what to see and where to go as well as recommendations for restaurants. The condo is very clean and the beds are really comfortable. A good place to stay.

Very good, clean, well equipped apartment with virtually everything you could need located in a quiet and convenient area of Montreal with good access to shops, bars, restaurants and the metro. It was very hot when we were there but being the ground floor apartment it was cool and the ceiling fans were great. Slight downside the TV was not working properly and a bedside lamp which needed a bulb replacing did not reappear - neither a major issue but should be sorted. Jane and John were good when there was we had a mix up on apartments and it was sorted without too much fuss. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would book again if back in Montreal.

This was our second stay as a family of five in one of the Gallery apartments. We have stayed in both the first and third floor apartments. They are beautiful! We really liked being on the third floor and having our own private deck for meals and reading. But, be prepared for a very steep staircase! Our children appreciated the board games and DVD options. The location is very convenient (easy metro access) and the neighborhood has so much to offer--you can walk or bike to the Atwater Market and pick up food to prepare at home. We used the bikes and explored the Lachine Canal--lovely! The owners are wonderfully nice and helpful.

we really enjoyed our stay the apartment. its is exactly like it is in the photos and the hosts showed great flexibility when we had forgotten about the check out time so we appreciate the courteous service. The Metro is only 5 minute walk away and about 10 to 15 minute walk down Notre dame street is a lot of really nice restaurants as well as Atwater market

The apartment is super clean, and John gives bagels.
The apartment is kept clean, but not decorated. So your stay will feel less than cozy. It will feel bare and empty. You'll want to move onto the deck, but that requires good weather. We had to move a lamp from the bedroom to the dining table. There is no light at the bathroom mirror. Kitchen has the very minimum in essentials, dishwasher does not run. We called with a question and left a message, twice, but John did not return the calls.
I took a walk with my son in the evening. The neighborhood is such that typical suburban dwellers would feel insecure. There are some poverty pockets in the area.
IGA is handy nearby and of course there is the market. For two people, who are used to living in inner city housing, this rental will fit the bill. There are beds for more, but 4 adults is too crowded as there is living room seating only for 2. 3 people is too many too relax anywhere. Stairs not for children. So its only good for 2 adults.
We paid for three nights but only stayed two.

We came to Montreal for vacation, and a family wedding and everything about this rental was perfect. It's in a great neighborhood, close to lots of shops, restaurants, attractions and the Metro. The owners are super easy to work with, provided all the local information and amenities we needed to make this a great vacation. Everything went smoothly with the booking and communication leading up to the rental. It's a nice size space for entertaining small groups, has a great patio, free wi-fi, and you get free bagels when you check in! The $5/day bike rental option was awesome, the beds are super comfortable, and we'd definitely rent this spot again if we make it back to Montreal. It's obvious the owners know what they are doing and care very much about making sure everyone has a great stay with them!

The Gallery 3 was very clean and equipped with enough kitchen amenities which made our family trip comfortable. If you have knee problems this 3rd floor apartment may be a bit tough since the stairs are kind of steep. John met us with a warm welcome and gave us 1 doz Montreal bagels with cream cheese (bagels were so delicious!). Location was very convenient: we just pretty much left the car in front of the apartment or nearby and walked. There is a metro station nearby, but because we wanted to explore we walked to downtown (30min) and to Old Montreal (about an hour). Walking to McGill was tough since it was all uphill, but we found enough distractions we just took our time walking. Atwater Market is a short 10 min walk. We drove to Mont Royal (10 min), Mile End neighborhood, Jean-Talon Market, Parc Jean-Drapeau, and Le Plateau-Mont-Royal neighborhood (about 15 min). There are about 3 supermarkets and 2 pharmacy stores nearby the apartment (walking distance).

The apartment exceeded our expectations! The location was perfect - convenient to the metro, grocery store, neighborhood eateries and bars, as well as the Atwater Market. The apartment was very clean and comfortable for our family of five (all adults/young adults) and well equipped with everything needed to dine in. We parked in front of the apartment and didn't need to use our vehicle at all until we traveled to Mont Tremblant. Highly recommend this property for a stay in Montreal!

We stayed at this apartment in October and found it to be very clean and comfortable. It was spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. We did have trouble with the internet connection but the owners were helpful with sorting it out. They were extremely nice people who offered a lot of advice in getting around and advising on the local restaurants and places to visit. Location was extremely close to the metro, which made getting around a breeze.
