beautiful, quiet location away from the hustle and bustle. gorgeous jungle setting, lovely pool and very welcoming hosts. we even saw two sloths in the trees over breakfast which was a real bonus.

we didn’t have a car, so relied on tuktuk’s to get to and from the property as it is up quite a steep hill which we weren’t quite prepared for in the heat.

Beautiful lodge set back from the main road, surrounded by amazing wildlife. The host pointed out a sloth in the tree whilst I was having (delicious) breakfast! Really clear communication from the host via WhatsApp and he was very helpful in advising on transportation and other recommendations. Pool area was lovely and clean, the perfect sanctuary away from the town, but within walking distance of restaurants and beautiful sandy beach which was great for swimming.

Compact, beautifully designed and well maintained lodge. owners were very friendly and attentive (and went the extra mile for guests). wildlife on site - sloth by the breakfast areas, birds and howler monkeys nearby. great little pool area with trees overlooking. nicely set back 10-15 mins walk from the beach. huge breakfasts!

We stayed in the suite while visiting the Caribbean coast and we enjoyed every bit of it!! It is beautifully set in the forest, the decoration and confort of the room was above expectations. you do not see your neighbours and the morning breakfast is really nice! Raphael and his wife are wonderful hosts (we spoke french). Animals life is pretty intense also, so great stay

Paola and Raphaél were amazing hosts an very friendly and supporting with organizing our trips. Breakfast was very lovely at the pool, while watching sloths. They created a beautiful refuge in the rainforest. At night we we are able to see fireflies and heard a lot of monkeys. Thanks again!!

A beautiful secluded place ❤️ The whole lodge is just gorgeous and the gardens are amazing. You can hear the hawler monkeys very often and also the other natural sounds had a very calming effect to us :) We could have spend the whole day just enjoying pur porch or the ranch with the pool. Raphaël and Paola are very friendly hosts and the other staff is also really nice. We loved that we‘ve been out of the hustle (but that also means a rental car is recommended). Jaguar Rescue Center is very nearby.

what’s not to like!

Amazing stay in a cosy lodge, where time has seemed to stop! It was truly a unique experience. We loved relaxing with the sounds of the forest in a very cosy private cottage with all the comfort from top-tier resorts, at a very attractive price

Very exclusive lodge in the middle of the jungle; really quite and perfect to disconnect and relax. The pool is amazing - we could use it just by ourselves. The hosts were very caring; very nice people - they tried to help us with all issues.

The price of the apartment is more high-range and the location not optimal, if you don't have a car. It's hard to get a taxi/tuktuk to pick you up there, but also impossible to drive up the street to the lodge with rental bikes (very bad road). The laundry service was relatively expensive (never paid 20/25$ before).

Satta lodge was one of a kind. A piece of jungle with only a couple of houses. Very tranquille but never felt lonely. Paola is a super host and even arranged a breakfast at the room for our anniversary. She really loved to do make us happy. The breakfast is amazing (we loved the crêpes).

Paola was always ever so attentive to our needs during our 6 night day. Her breakfast options are delicious and unique. The lodge itself is so quiet and serene at nearly every time of the day you are there. The pool was a bit on the colder / cooler side but still enjoyable with the every changing weather patterns in the limon area. I also got a massage and it was excellent, you fall right asleep to the sounds of pure bliss nature. I loved the fact that you are a bit farther from all the noise of Puerto Viejo yet still close to all else such as Playa Chiquita , black sand beach, Cocles, and Manzanillo.

Although the lodge is new it was always easy to miss the turn into the main road and extended road that led to the actual lodging. There needs to be a large and lit sign in order not to miss it. The road leading to the lodging is quite rocky and it's really noisy every time you want to enter and leave the premises. The opening and closing of the main gate for guests to the premises was also a bit tricky and not as convenient. Maybe some type of digital opening should be implemented for easier access instead of physical key and lock.
