Nothing to complain about

We had a fantastic stay at Waterton Hotel & Spa. We stayed on the island side of the hotel. Lovely large room with a four poster bed, big bathroom with bath and shower. The breakfast was good - plenty of choice. We had evening meal on both nights of our stay - very tasty. We used the spa facilities - super and very clean. Wonderful views from the pool out onto the lake. Lovely walks around the grounds. I would like to thank all the members of staff - they were so helpful and friendly - can't thank them enough. They made my husbands birthday surprise fantastic. We will definitely be returning and have already recommended to all our friends.

Location, food, staff in the restaurant were excellent, especially Jodie.

Check in was horrendous. The receptionist- Donna was on a call, not to a guest but a colleague. I was ignored for 10 mins while she spoke to ‘Chris’ about not having manager cover, or that staff were not trained. And then about his parcel from M and S waiting for him. Nothing but rude, unprofessional and it took me all my strength not to walk out. Better welcomes at Travel Lodge. She really created a poor first impression. In the room, biscuits were crunched and uneatable. TV didn’t work in Netflix
