Excellent staff and just a walking distance away to town

Amazing Victorian hotel with lots of beautiful period features only 10mins from town. Room was lovely, comfortable bed with a great bathroom. The spa was well equipped and relaxing. All staff members were extremely friendly, professional and helpful.

Beautiful building, nice big comfy beds and a spa.

You were suppose to get robes at the spa and we were not given any.

Stayed numerous times and the breakfast was the best yet

The room is in need of an upgrade, curtains hanging off the rail, stained carpet and tired furniture

The hotel is in a great location. It took us 2 minutes to walk into the centre of Harrogate.

Some areas of the hotel looked a little bit tired.

We loved it all , the swimming pool was amazing , we had warm cookies and bottled water upon arrival , room was huge with slippers and robes with a fridge too , and yummy hot chocolate with tea sbd coffee maker which make a nice change from just tea and coffee , bar and lounge was stunning , very quiet perfect location

Um if I had to think of something I’d say no clean towels in the spa , she was waiting for sone more to be brought up , but def wasn’t a problem

No parking at all upon arrival. Cars were parked anywhere they could find, up grass verges and on an unused tennis court which you had to drive over a ditch to access. Upon arrival I was told I had to pay £15 extra for parking in the grounds and the privilege of parking on a muddy bank. When I questioned it if I was rudely told that the charge was advertised on the website (can’t be obvious as I never saw it) and I could move my car elsewhere outside the grounds if I wished, in the torrential rain. Terrible customer service!

Lovely clean comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Hotel very central, great location.

Location

Rooms were basic, clean and good size but no character and our room was quite dark. Mirrors in the bathroom to high to see into and too hot during the night. Can only use the pool for 1 hour per day during your stay.

Beautiful hotel. Aesthetically pleasing, comfortable rooms and a great spa!

Only down fall was the service in the bar. We ordered some lunch and the guy serving us seemed to have no customer service skills at all. It felt like he just didn’t want to communicate with us at all. Maybe he was having a bad day but it’s not acceptable in his role to be like that with customers

Good value for money and fairly luxurious

Bird poo outside in the spa area, absolutely everywhere. Jacuzzi was dirty after a group of women just left so we didn’t go in. Spa staff had us waiting whilst she had a conversation with friends. I booked for 1 person by accident and this was not mentioned when we checked in so when we came to dinner for half board it was only paid for one person so I felt rather embarrassed.

Overall very good, very clean, perfect location.

Everything was very good

The lighting in the dining room was not good for anybody with impaired vision. There was a small lamp on each table. I asked for another lamp to be supplied and the waiter very kindly provided one which helped me to see what was on my plate.

The staff were friendly and the facilities were all very impressive, we were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room and we felt we got value for money with the room itself.

Our experienced was soured by the loud music that was playing throughout the night, we came to this hotel to relax as it was our first child free weekend since the birth of our first son last year. Had we have known there was going to be an event on, we’d have booked for another weekend instead; we came here to relax and enjoy a well earned rest but found that we didn’t sleep much at all due to the noise.

Hotel upgraded us to a suite, nice large room. Lovely old building, impressive. Great breakfast, lots of choice. Nice spa with good sized pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Couple of minor cleaning issues in the room. Changing room at the spa, floor didn’t look as though it had been mopped/ dried for a while but clean overall.

Location was perfect

The fact that the spa are is not cleaned correctly we went in Friday for a swim noticed plasters on the floor and a large amount of hair went in again befor leaving day after and it was still there

Staff went the extra mile to make our stay memorable Prepared our room … with rose petals and towel swans to celebrate our anniversary

No towels on arrival, television problem's cleaning not very good, jacuzzi was cold on Friday morning outside of hotel pretty poor ,very noisy at night time

Lack of dressing gown in the room, waiting for my room to be ready for nearly an hour with a toddler- we got complimentary drinks though

Excellent room, bed was really comfy, bathroom was a great size, an overall really nice stay.

The outdoor furniture is need of a refresh but I'm sure that's on the to do list when the weather improves!

No bath in our room, a bit dirty/dated despite being a Victorian building.

Lovely place and excellent location , rooms are very comfortable, good Wi-Fi throughout hotel. Very good choice of breakfast Buffett , ordered an eggs Benedict, excellent.

Spa and leisure facilities very good but no one at reception to book you in and all the shower gel in cubicles had not been replenished on either day we were there. . The spin dryer out of order the changing room in general looked a bit tired and grubby.

Rude reception staff, no robe available or slippers for the spa unless I booked in a more superior room. Ordered room service that didn’t arrive. Wasn’t given any clear directions and felt a bit lost at some points. Staff in the restaurant and spa were lovely and helpful but when asking reception for information, they were rude and unwilling to help. Made me feel uncomfortable and like they weren’t interested. For the price I paid and as a solo traveller, booking to use the hotel to have a relaxing time, I was made to feel rather uneasy and anxious by the reception staff.

Location is very handy and the spa is very good and the gym breakfast is good value as well.

My room was terrible my shower would not drain away or my sink in my room I reported this and nothing was done if you had a shower in less then 2 minutes it would be flooding the whole bathroom and would have to turn the shower off.
