Lovely pub/restaurant in a quiet village 20 minute stroll from the sea at Low Newton which has a nice pub too (Ship). The staff were excellent and helpful and the food and range of drinks were excellent. The room was comfortable and very clean.
We did some local walks which were nice and then 2 castles, Bamburgh one day and Dunstanburgh the next enabled by catching local buses back to the Joiners.
Parking was a bit of a lottery and the huge umbrellas outside were generally in a poor state of repair giving a really shabby look to a nice seating area.

Location is perfect for attending weddings near by at Newham Hall. Great food and selection of beverages including non-alcoholic and if you’re a dog lover it’s very dog friendly. The accommodation is quirky and comfortable, we loved it!
For our experience there was nothing not to like. Although onsite parking is limited there is a free car park just up the road and easy walking distance.

Room was nice and bed was really comfy
The fact before we arrived I was told there would be a room in which we could get ready for a wedding and when we got there we were told there was no room and got told we could get changed in the disabled toilets
