The stay at the hotel was amazing! The best part was the location. The friendly staff members made the stay even more comfortable. Although there was no elevator, with the help of staff members, I was able to manage all of it without any inconvenience. They helped me in every possible way, I was able to reach out to the hotel team for the slightest inconvenience.
Moreover, I also got complementary hot drinks at the hotel which was a cherry on the cake, considering the cold weather outside. Without these complementary services, it would really have been difficult to cope up with the weather outside. At the hotel, I even got amazing room service, the rooms were regularly cleaned. So, considering the hygiene, I would recommend the hotel to everyone. The room overall was a cozy one that made my stay comfortable. I am satisfied with my stay and would thank the hotel for it.

Next to the cathedral and generally a good location in the main town area with loads of pubs and restaurants near by.
The smell from the shower drain. No coffee in the bedrooms.

Nette kamer, modern, fijne bedden.

The hotel really is in a very good location; within easy walking distance of the rest of the city centre and right in front of the church. There is also one of the main bus stops near the church which is a very short walk from the hotel. The central bus station is also in easy walking distance. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a coffee machine in the lounge with reasonable free coffee (no hot-drink making facilities in the room). The bathroom to my room had a small balcony - with not much of a view but was still nice to have the doors open from time to time.
Overall pleasantness of stay was only marred by the strong odour from the shower drain, which was overpowering after the first time of using the shower, but which the staff were very quick to get onto when I had told them about it. A minor thing and credit to staff for addressing it so quickly.

Great central location to downtown Reykjavik. Hotel entrance was very welcoming and also the staff. Room very clean and lovely to have unlimited access to non alcoholic drinks in the lobby area. Great hotel and would definitely stay again!
Limited availability of opening window as stayed in attic room.

Já reindar get ég upplýst ykkur um að þetta kallast ekki herbergi, heldur kallast slíkar í-verur skápar!
Engin les lambi sem sem kom að gagni til þeirra þarfa - notast við til lesturs - Hvorki var borð né stóll fyrr en ég gerði athusasemd og bað um að séð yriði um svo sjálsagt húsgagn!

We liked the location, the staff, the breakfast, the hotel atmosphere and overall - it was a very good value for money. This hotel is a private owner-operated property and that gives it a very true atmosphere which we liked a lot. The breakfast was very nice and it had everything we need for the good start of the day, and it is served in the main building in a nice space with the street view. Of course we liked more the main building especially when we moved to the upper floor room in it. The bathroom and the room were small with sloping ceiling - but very cozy and with wonderful views - we just fell in love with it (one more time - yes - it is really small, but that gives special charm and coziness to the room and we really loved it and it had all you need for stay). The other hotel building is opposite the street - it is also from our point of view - good and fair value for money, our room there was much much bigger, but we liked the main building more. And of course location is very very good. We thank the staff and the owner for our stay.

Some of the staff were super friendly others not so much.
Right across the street from the Hallgrímskirkja Church makes this a great location.
We were put in a room on level 4 which has very low ceilings. Our ensuite was tiny compromising of a toilet and shower in the one small combined space. My husband is tall, over 190cm and this room was very awkward. I was hitting my head on the roof and I am only 163cm tall.

Location is excellent and fantastic to have free parking nearby. We had a view of the cathedral which was really special.
Very noisy in the morning. Lots of guests coming and going from about 5 30 am.

Fab location, so central.
All of the tour buses and airport bus drop/pick you up at the bus stop beside the church which is just across the road.
Staff are all amazing. So lovely and helpful and really went above and beyond.
They upgraded my room from a single for a few days which was wonderful.
Breakfasts were great. Very good food.
The single room I stayed in needs an upgrade.
The quality of the double rooms are excellent.
Nothing to do with the size of the single room, just the furnishings, paint etc, needs a revamp.

Room was very small. Didn’t need the chair in the room that made it hard to move around.

Love the location. It is directly across the church. Very easy to find and near everything.
We were given small attic rooms. It is small and had slanted roof. Easy to hit your head if u r a big guy. Interesting to stay for one night.

good location with free parking close by
Reception staff not particularly welcoming. had to provide a credit card for incidentals even though I had no intention of spending any additional money at the hotel. this seemed to be required in order to cover the cost of a key if lost. feel that the focus of the hotel is all wrong as it does not set a very good first impression.
